GOTH & CYBERGOTH Q&A -- ANSWERS

Heeelloooo dear people! To celebrate my 200 followers on my Instagram related to the goth culture, I launched a Q&A on this theme! Thank you very much for having participated, and here are my answers to your questions!

Half of the questions asked, actually the basic ones, were included in the Goth Tag. For questions and answers about the basis of my life as a goth, feel free to check out my Goth Tag video!

- Does anyone else in your family dress gothic?

Not at all! And I don't see it happening in a million years. They openly hate goth clothing, hate me dressing goth and wish I'd stop. Most of them are Catholic conservatives, soooo...

- How did your close family and friends react to your modelling photoshoots?

They didn't react in any kind of way, as most of my family doesn't know I'm doing modelling photoshoots. Not that I'm hiding it or anything, they just didn't see. Or at least, no one ever said anything to me about it, so either they don't know, or they don't care, or they say stuff behind my back... but in either way, they didn't 'react' to it.

- Do you think you will be able to handle both cosplay and cybergoth photoshoots?

Of course! These two activities don't overlay each other. They both take time to be done, and as you perhaps noticed, I'm not someone who's doing lots of photoshoots, be it cosplay or modelling. I'm having one cybergoth photoshoot per year, and between one and three cosplay photoshoots per year. Also, I just finished my first ever sewn cosplay, which means that before that, all of my cosplays were closet cosplays. To put that more simply: both cosplay and cybergoth take time to be done, there's no hurry whatsoever, so yes, I am and will be able to handle both cosplay and cybergoth photoshoots.

- Do you like hanging out in big groups of people at the club or do you like to just chill with a few close friends?

I like both! I went to my first goth nightclub a bit more than a year ago, and since then I try to go regularly to parties, with two friends and my boyfriend. Knowing that I started going to concerts nearly nine years ago, and knowing that since then concerts are THE moments I cherish the most in my entire life, I knew that I would love clubbing!
But I also like to chill with a few close friends. Generally speaking I'm an introvert, and concerts are the only place I am fine with being with (lots of) strangers and sympathising with them. Unfortunately, my friends are all doing different studies or work, which means none of us have the same schedule or even the same holidays! So we see each others reeeeally rarely... We rather spam a lot on a Messenger group haha. Also, for some couple of friends, we spend lots of time on League of Legends together.

- Have you ever considered belly piercing?

Not at all. I'm actually absolutely traumatised of huge needles and syringes and all. So I never considered any kind of piercings, generally speaking, as well as tattoos. The only piercing I'd like to see someday on myself would be an arcade one, but I've never been interested in a belly one. As for tattoos, I have lots of ideas and would love to have two or three precise and important ones, but it will more likely never happen.

- Favourite eyeshadow?

I don't wear eyeshadow. Well, I do, but as a substitute of khôl or eyeliner, and I use it to do the contour of my eyes, nothing else. The only eyeshadow I use as an actual eyeshadow is the purple I've worn for my latest purple cybergoth photoshoot, but here again, I've never worn it on another occasion, and certainly not on a random day. Both are the 'wet and dry' from Kiko, though. But I can't say I wear eyeshadow, and even for cosplay I never bought eyeshadows from other brands, so obviously, I can't have a favourite.

- Do you make your outfits or buy them?

My whole wardrobe is made of bought stuff. I never sewn any actual piece of clothing, apart from a red silk dress for my cosplay of Lucy Saxon from Doctor Who - red silk dress that I don't imagine myself wearing outside of cosplay. Also, I love DIY, but I'm too scared of DIYing my clothes, especially my band shirts. Each and every one of them is super important to me, and have a certain story behind them, so even if most of them are too big and I'd love to cut the sleeves or make them shorter or just DIY them, I'll never do it. The only real DIY I've done is my battle vest, on which I started working not that long ago!

- What’s one of your favorite outfits to wear?

Damn, that's fucking difficult.

I'd say this one. Pretty simple, maybe a bit too much, but this dress is quite surely my favourite dress ever! It's long but just enough so I don't walk on it, and it's velvet, so it's both very dark and soft. I like to wear it with these two necklaces (+ my Mjöllnir). I love how my belt (which I adore in itself) cuts the dress in two. Well, I won't go on and on about his outfit, but I love wearing it, it's very simple but very stylish in my opinion.

Dress : Rosetic
Necklaces : Wish
Belt : Discobole
Shoes : Demonia 220

Buuuut as this is the outfit I'm wearing in my Goth Tag and as this is a photo you've already seen, I'm allowing myself to add another outfit:

Here again, the first photo is from my Instagram, but I never posted the second one... should I do it?

I *adore* this outfit! Velvet, lace, fishnets, leather, chains... A huge mix of fabrics and lengths, for a very 'badass modern tradgoth' feeling!

Top : Laughing Vampire
Skirt : Thrifted
Fishnets : Wish (tights turned into a top)

Buuuuut as you've already seen this outfit, let's go for a third and last one, that you've never seen yet! (well maybe just once in my Instagram story)

Long story short: I just love this outfit and its very tradgoth vibe!

Coat : Thrifted
Dress : Killstar
Belt : Discobole
Sigil of Lucifer necklace : Wish
Baudelaire cameo necklace : Handmade
Shoes : Demonia 220

Aaaaaaaaaand as for cybergoth, I most definitely prefer to wear my purple outfit! It's less comfortable than the red one, but it's somehow way better.

That's the end of this Q&A! Thank you for your questions, and I hope you enjoyed it!

If you have any other random questions, feel free to ask them anytime!
